ShareWeaver is for buying, selling and trading with neighbors, from Fairfield Bay to wherever you are. Here’s how it works, in plain English.

1. $1 membership Coming soon

Your account is free. You can sign up, list items, browse and message without paying anything.

A $1 card membership is coming soon. Once it’s live, it will be $1 one time (or whatever price we post in the app before you pay). Members will be able to use Reveal name: when both people on a deal agree, each of you can see the name on the other person’s card.

The $1 is for the membership only. It isn’t a payment for any item, and it doesn’t make ShareWeaver part of your deal.

Until then, the “$1 membership” button just says it’s coming soon. You won’t be charged.

2. Selling and getting paid Card payouts coming soon

Cash and local pickup are always fine. Meet, look the item over, and pay or trade in person.

Later, buyers will be able to pay by card in the app. When that’s turned on, here’s how you’d get paid:

• You open a free Stripe Express account from the app. Stripe is the payment company that handles the money.
• Stripe checks your identity and links your bank account. ShareWeaver never sees or stores your bank password.
• When a buyer pays, the money goes to your bank after Stripe’s normal transfer time.

Our fee: ShareWeaver plans to take 2.5% of the item price on sales paid in the app. That’s all, nowhere near eBay-size fees. Stripe’s card processing fee may be separate; we’ll show the exact fees before you turn payouts on. Cash and trades have no ShareWeaver fee.

Card payouts aren’t live yet. For now, use in-app messages to set things up, then pay cash or trade.

3. Messaging

• Tap Message seller on a listing, and find all your conversations in Account → Inbox.
• Keep the conversation in the app. Your phone number and email never show on listings, and messages with phone numbers, emails or links won’t go through.
• No sexual content, no threats, and no arranging anything on the banned list.
• ShareWeaver can read messages when someone reports a problem. We aren’t part of your deal: what you agree to is between you and the other person.

4. Video chat Not live

There’s no video chat yet, and no button in the app that starts a call. Premium video is planned for members. When it comes, it will be inside the app, and we aren’t promising calls will be recorded.

5. Rules (short version)

• Never allowed: firearms, ammunition, alcohol, tobacco, drugs, or sexual content or services.
• Illegal activity gets your account closed for good and can be reported to law enforcement.
• Your full photos stay on your phone. We store your item details, and when you list something, a small picture for the listing. Photos you analyze are sent to our AI appraiser (Google Gemini) to get a price estimate.
• Meet in a public place, inspect before you pay, and never send money to someone you haven’t met.
